How would one describe the MS Dhoni madness? The South African icon Graeme Smith described the event as “devastating” for a few, whereas the majority are going to find it hard to express. But IPL 2023 has been an exciting year in which the fanbase had been prominently on exhibition, as Chennai Super Kings supporters packing every stadium wherever the club participated in order to bid MS Dhoni, who is speculated to have been performing his last IPL competition a great farewell.
His colleagues have also been impacted by this, as Ravindra Jadeja noted two weeks ago, although in a hilarious way. He has, in fact, experienced it most frequently this season, as was seen on Saturday at the IPL. He said during a post match presentation that he was somewhat annoyed of CSK fans asking him to get out so that they can see Thaala Dhoni bat.
Ravindra Jadeja is playing with 285 SR & still Chennai crowd chanting for him to take single is a sad sight. It is very demotivating for a batsman when he gets out & it is cheered by the home crowd. Respect each & every player ๐ค๐ป #DCvsCSK pic.twitter.com/t2cAoYldFx

Although against DC, Jadeja came to bat after Dhoni in the batting order but CSK fans once again happened to hoot the All-rounder. This time when he had the strike, fans inside the Arun Jaitley Stadium kept asking him to take a single and let Dhoni play.

Jadeja went on to smack 1 six and 3 Fours, smashing 20 runs off 7 balls. MSD on the other hand scored just 5 runs off 4 balls. CSK eventually ended up with 223/3 and their bowlers successfully defended the total.
