Virender Sehwag Trolls: Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to troll himself as a part of the popular “this day that year” segment. He brought out an incident that took place in 2011 in England, in a Test Match at Birmingham, where he had scored a king pair after long travel to England and fielding long hours.

Virender Sehwag tweeted: “On this day 8 years ago, I scored a king pair vs England in Birmingham after flying for 2 days to reach England and fielding 188 overs. Unwillingly paid tribute to Aryabhatta 🙂 If there was zero chance of failure, what would you do ? If you have it figured, do that !”

It was the third test between India and England, which India ended up losing by an innings and 242 runs. Sehwag was out on a duck on the first ball of each innings, getting caught in both innings. His wicket was taken by Stuart Broad in the first innings, while Anderson got his back in the second innings.

Sehwag replaced Abhinav Mukund in the line-up, who played the first two matches, partnering Gautam Gambhir and Rahul Dravid in the first two tests respectively as Gambhir faced an injury concern in the opener.

India ended up losing the Test Series 4-0, and England then went on to clean sweep the T20 match and the ODI series.
