Kohli Will Have no Role in Coach Selection: After the World Cup semi-finals, the team management is set to undergo revamp, and see a lot of changes within the next one month. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has opened 7 posts, for which applications have been sought.

The positions include Head Coach, Bowling Coach, Fielding Coach, Batting Coach, Physiotherapist, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Administrative Staff. The deadline for the applications has been kept as July 30, 2019.

For the Indian team, the selection of the main coach will be decided by a committee of coaches, which includes former players like Kapil Dev, Shaanath Rangaswamy and Anshuman Gaekwad. The panel is likely to be headed by Kapil Dev. According to the reports, Indian captain Virat Kohli will not have any interference for the post of chief coach as per the reports, to avoid any issues or conflict of interest.
