‘Virat Kohli is a terrible influence…’ says RCB captain Faf du Plessis

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammates Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli have developed a strong bond that goes far beyond the cricket field. Du Plessis, the South African captain, recently spoke about his unique friendship with Kohli which has blossomed after he joined RCB and became Kohli’s opening partner in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

While the two are fierce competitors on the field, their connection off the field runs deeper than just strategic sessions. “We both love food. We both are really into our fashion. That’s another thing we spend a lot of time talking about. The way we dress, what style of clothes. We would send each other pictures of outfits and stuff like that,” Du Plessis revealed on Star Sports’ ‘Captains Speak’ show. This light-hearted commentary highlights how their pursuit of style and fashion became friendly banter, with the duo exchanging pics of their outfits.

Our wives and kids, having them at similar ages, (we) really connected at that front as well,” he said.
