Transfer Round-Up of the Day: 4th July

The transfer market has been busy throughout the day. Here are some of the top news coming from the football world:

1) Tottenham holds Lo Celso talks with Betis

After a stellar season, Tottenham is looking to reinforce, especially with the talks of Christian Eriksen probably on his way out. Spurs tabled a £36m bid for the Real Betis star, but the Spanish club has rejected it. Spurs have put the transfer talks on hold for now. The Argentine has a release clause of £88m however it is believed that Betis would be happy to accept any offer above £70m.

2) Frank Lampard becomes Chelsea head coach

Frank Lampard PhotosFrank Lampard has reunited with his former club Chelsea FC. The former English midfielder has replaced Maurizio Sarri as the head coach of the Chelsea first team. Lampard came into the management job last summer where he managed Derby County FC and put on a good show. The 41-year- old will return to Stanford Bridge for 3 years.

3) Juventus Pushing Paulo Dybala – Pogba Swap Deal

Juventus have tabled an offer for Manchester United which sees the Italian club offer Paulo Dybala in exchange for Paul Pogba. This comes after Real Madrid offered Gareth Bale to Manchester United for the French midfielder, which the Red Devils seemingly didn’t like. According to the reports, the Italian club is offering Paulo Dybala in place of Paul Pogba and is trying to push the deal through. Dybala isn’t an integral part of Juventus’ plan and is looking to use him as a part of the bid to get the targeted players.

4) Bruno Fernandes Moving to Manchester

Bruno Fernandes is the subject of another transfer speculation. After reports of interest from Liverpool and PSG, there seems to be a new entrant in the market for the Portuguese midfielder. Manchester United are desperately looking for reinforcements and have been busy in the transfer market and are chasing their 3rd signing in the form of Bruno Fernandes. Reportedly, the midfielder’s agent who was earlier keen to push through a deal with PSG has flown to Manchester to finalize the deal.

5) Angelino Rejoins Man City

Angelino Rejoins PhotoSpanish defender who moved to PSV last summer has rejoined the Premier League Champions for 4 years. Angelino was a part of City’s academy and was then sent to New York City and NAC Breda on loan before he joined PSV where his impressive performances prompted City to get the talented defender back in their ranks.

6) Arsenal Increasing Transfer Funds

After a poor season, Arsenal too has been active in the market and are looking for attacking options. The Gunners had tabled a bid of £40m for Crystal Palace striker Wilfried Zaha, which Crystal Palace rejected in no time.

It has been reported that the transfer chiefs are in talks with the owner Stan Kroenke to release the funds required to reinforce the team. Crystal Palace has stood their ground and has refused anything less than £80m for the Ivory Coast forward.
