Transfer Round-Up of the Day: 24th July

As the transfer deadline approaches, the activities have picked up pace. Let’s have a look at the top transfer action from the day:

 1 Everton Want to Sign Wilfried Zaha
Transfer Round-Up of 24th July: Arsenal are still hopeful of signing the Ivory Coast winger, but now they will face competition from the Toffees. Crystal Palace have valued Zaha at 80 million pounds, however, the Gunners are not willing to pay that amount of money. The Eagles have already sold Aaron Wan Bissaka for 50 million pounds to Manchester United and are looking to cash-in on their other priced asset as well. Everton has also shown interest in the 26-year-old former Manchester United player. Arsenal is expected to make another bid this week. It would be interesting to see where Zaha ends up at the end of the window.

 2 Clarke-Salter Joins Birmingham on Loan

The Chelsea defender Salter has joined the EFL Championship side Birmingham City on a season-long loan. As per reports, there was severe competition for 21-year-old, who captained the England U-21 side, however, the options were carefully examined and Birmingham made the cut. He was loaned out in the previous season to Dutch side Vitesse. Clarke-Salter joined Chelsea’s academy as a nine-year-old.

 3 Bayern Munich Still Working on Leroy Sane Deal
While talking to Sport Bild, Bayern Munich manager Niko Kovac expressed his strong desire to sign Leroy Sane as he labeled him as the ‘dream signing’. He said, “Our bosses have shown him a clear plan. We are very focused, Leroy knows what to expect here, and when a player with such capacity comes to FC Bayern, he knows his job. You can see that the transfer is not easy. But I know that our people are working very hard to make it happen. We will do everything to realize this transfer. We all know that Leroy Sane is our dream player. The public knows that we know that.”

 4 Janssen Joins Monterrey from Tottenham
Transfer Round-Up of 24th July: The 25-year-old forward has joined the Mexican club Monterrey after his 3-year contract with Spurs expired. The Dutch came to White Hart Lane from AZ Alkmaar, but has ever since, failed to make an impact for the Spurs. He made 42 appearances, scoring 6 goals at his time at Tottenham Hotspurs. He was loaned to Fenerbahche in 2017/18 season.

 5 Manchester United Contact Tottenham over Eriksen

With one year left on his contract, Spurs are looking to cash-in on their star midfielder Christian Eriksen. There was reported interest from Atletico Madrid, who are weighing a deal for the Danish playmaker, however, Manchester United have entered the race as well with reports claiming the English club to have contacted Spurs to check on Eriksen. Manchester United are reportedly preparing a bid in the region of £70m to attract him to Manchester.

 6 PSG Closing-in on Gueye
Paris Saint Germain are looking to refurbish their midfield and have reportedly held talks with Everton and Idrissa Gueye, and are likely to land the midfielder this week.
The French club have been chasing the Ivorian for some time now and have reportedly closed-in on a £28m deal for the Everton man.

 7 Milinkovic Savic Confirms his Departure
The Serbian midfielder has reportedly informed his Lazio teammates about his departure from the club this summer.
The tall midfielder had attracted interest from Manchester United and the English club was reportedly pursuing their interest in the Serbian.
If he will be heading to Manchester or elsewhere, will be seen in the next few days.

8 Sheffield United Identify Hart as Their First-Choice Keeper
The newly-promoted side Sheffield United is preparing for life in the Premier League and have identified Englishman Joe Hart as their Number 1 goalkeeper for the season after Manchester United demanded loan fee for Sheffield United’s star keeper Dean Henderson.
With shoe-string budgets at their disposal, Sheffield may look to make Burnley third-choice keeper Joe Hart as their main keeper for the season.

 10 Dybala Sale May Spur Pogba Move
Dybala has recently informed about his interest in a move away from the Italian champions and has attracted interest from Manchester United, who would need to fight with Paris Saint Germain for the signature of the Argentine.
Juventus, are reportedly keen on selling Dybala and cash-in on hi to ignite the Pogba transfer and reunite with the French midfielder.
