Kings XI Punjab’s fans should rejoice for the fact that the Universe Boss, Chris Gayle will play the next match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Gayle was suffering from a stomach bug due to which he was in the hospital for a few days. In a recent video uploaded by KXIP on their Twitter handle, Gayle has stated that Universe Boss is back as the prolonged wait is over.
“To all the fans out there, the wait is over. The Universe Boss is back. I know you all have been waiting for such a long time, the wait is over unless something dramatic happens to the Universe Boss again, which I hope not,” Gayle said in the video uploaded on KXIP’s Twitter handle.

KXIP have been on a horrendous run in the tournament. In seven matches, they have won only one game. One loss from here could end their chances of making into the playoffs. Thus, there couldn’t be a better time for Chris Gayle to be back in the side.
“You know it is still possible. I know we are at the bottom of the table but it is still possible. Seven games to go and we believe we can win all seven, it is still possible. I urge each and every one of the guys to still have the self-belief like I said the only way we can go is up, it is only up from here. So gonna do it and we can do it,” Gayle explained.
Kings XI Punjab are currently languishing at the bottom of the table with only a solitary win in 7 matches. To make into the playoffs, they have to win all their games from here. KL Rahul and Co. will play their next game against RCB on Wednesday.
