Jannik Sinner, the current world number two, is going to be the biggest miss from the Italian Open 2024 tournament. The Italian Open is Jannik’s home tournament, as he will miss playing in front of his home crowd.

During his quarter-final match against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the Madrid Open, Sinner faced some difficulty in his hip region and had to retire mid-match. After that, he announced that he was going to withdraw from the tournament in Rome as well.

2. Carlos Alcaraz (Spain)

The player known as the next big thing in the tennis setup, Carlos Alcaraz, is another player who is going to miss the Italian Open 2024. Alcaraz is a clay court specialist, and it would have been exciting to watch him play in Rome.

The Spaniard has been facing some kind of injury in his arm for a long time now, due to which he opted out of the Monte-Carlo Masters as well as the Barcelona Open. Now, he has announced on social media that he will come back to Rome next year.

3. Andy Murray (Great Britain)

The British tennis star, who is an inspiration for any aspiring athlete around the world, is also set to miss the Italian Open in 2024. Andy Murray is also doubtful for the French Open 2024 after already being out of action for a long time now.

A lot of injuries have troubled Murray in the past, and in his recent match, he rolled his ankle, due to which he is now sitting out of the tournament in Rome.
