The Hundred Mens Competition 2023: Tom Hartley Makes Manchester Originals Win

Tom Hartley

Tom Hartley bowled his best spell of the Hundred Mens Competition 2023 against the Birmingham Phoenix. One of the best things about his yesterday’s performance was that his RPB was only 0.65. That was certainly great bowling in this short version of the game. This version of Cricket is even shorter than T20, and that makes it even more challenging for the bowlers. That means if the bowlers are able to dominate, then they can easily make their team win the match. That is exactly what Tom Hartley did for Manchester originals.

Contribution of Tom Hartley

Hartley was as good as a bowler can be in this version of the game. That is the reason, it is necessary to elaborate on his contribution.

  • When Birmingham Phoenix started the innings, they were not able to get a good opening stand. Their score was 21-3 and after that, Liam Livingstone was looking forward to staying there and spending more time at the crease.
  • Livingstone got a good start, and by the time he was at 27 runs off 25 balls, Hattley was able to get his wicket.
  • Once Livingstone was out, still the game was on, because some dangerous batters were still there to come at the crease.
  • Benny Howell spent some time at the crease and Manchester Originals knew that he was capable of scoring well. That is when Hartley went on to take his wicket, and that ensured that the flow of wickets continued for the Manchester originals.
  • At the end to put a full stop on the batting lineup of Birmingham Phoenix, Hartley went on to take the last wicket of the match.

In the end, the bowling stats of Tom Hartley were nothing but wonderful. He bowled 20 balls, and took 3 wickets, with RPB 0.65. This is certainly a great contribution in a 100 balls match.
