The 19th match of the Hundred Mens Competition 2023, between Birmingham Phoenix and Oval Invincibles was certainly a one-sided match. Birmingham was better not only in the batting but even in the bowling area they were far better. On the other hand, Oval Invincibles tried to fight back, but they were certainly not a stronger side. Oval Invincibles are the best team in the tournament so far, and no one expected them to collapse in such a manner.

Birmingham Phoenix Innings
- Birmingham batted first, and they were ready to set a good score on the board. They lost their first wicket when the team’s total was runs. It was Will Smeed who got out with the score of 6 runs.
- On the other end, Duckett tried to spend some time at the crease, but he got out after contributing 23 runs.
- It was important for someone to score well so that the team score would reach a big total.
- Jamie Smith and Captain Moeen Ali went on to make a brilliant partnership. They took the score from 44 to 119. This brilliant partnership kept the hope of winning against the best team in the tournament.
- Ali got run out at a score of 33. But Smith continued with his brilliant knock.
- Smith got out after scoring 60 runs only on 33 balls. By that time the team score was 133.
- The lower-order batters took the score to 160 after 100 balls.
Oval Invincibles Innings
- Invincibles lost their first wicket, only when the team totaled 3.
- Wickets consistently fell, and they were not able to make a good partnership.
- Soon, the score was 55-5, and it was looking clear that they would not be able to make it.
- Kane Richardson kept on making the damage, and the lower order was completely wiped out by him.
- Oval Invincibles, got all out at a score of 119.
This is the first loss for Oval Invincibles in the tournament. They are still at the top of the table of the Hundred Mens Competition. On the other hand, this is the first win for the Birmingham Phoenix.
