Tale of the Real Kabaddi League season 2 Runners-up Chambal Pirates

During the Real Kabaddi League season 2, we witnessed some really good teams and players that graced the tournament. Finalists Chambal pirates were one of those who displayed their talent right from the very first match. Their talent was evident throughout the tournament and they will be remembered as a team that contains a lot of potential.

Strengths – They won 5 matches, lost 1 and drew 1 during the league stages and looked like title contenders with the way they were playing. They finished the season in the second spot. Players like Dheeraj Ahlawat, Ajay, Deepak Malik were the three main pillars of the team. They showed brilliance on the mat using their nifty skills and by sticking to the plan throughout the tournament. The operation of “smart training” enabled them to reach their potential to the fullest. The Pirates from Chambal fully deserved to win the RKL season 2 but they showed that strong mentality can overpower even the toughest of opponent.

Weaknesses – They didn’t have too many flaws within their team but the lack of nerves and composure during the most important match of the tournament saw them cost the title they were chasing. The Pirates would have hoped to keep the same mentality as they had during the league stages. Their defence collapsed in the final against Shekhawati Kings as they were showing a very immature attitude and kept on giving the points away. They lost the RKL season 2 final by a margin of 2 points but they will hope to go that extra mile in season 3 of the Real Kabaddi League.
