His fearless style of play and efficiency has been nodded by the ICC and the next milestone for him would be winning a major trophy with the national side. Since his debut in 2021 against England at Ahmedabad, Surya Kumar Yadav has delivered many match winning knocks at home and in foreign conditions as well.
The 32-year-old has been batting ridiculously well and at times he gets to near perfection. Even Virat Kohli said that he has never seen anyone bat like that and he is not wrong. Surya’s batting style includes unconventional, outrageous and innovative shots and also keeps the team in mind.
He had an extra ordinary year and he broke a number of records too. Sky became only the 2nd batter ever to score more than 1000 runs in a calendar year. He ended 2022 as the highest run getter with 1164 runs with a daunting strike rate of 187.43 in 31 matches.
The 32-year-old also had the most sixes (68) and registered 2 Tons and 9 half-centuries. He also received the highest rating with 890 points.
