Sundar Singh Gurjar’s journey in the Paralympics has been nothing short of extraordinary. In 2016, he etched his name in the annals of Indian sports by achieving the ‘A’ qualification mark for the 2016 Rio Paralympics. His remarkable performance of 59.36 meters at the 8th Fazza IPC Athletics Grand Prix in Dubai marked the beginning of his ascent to greatness.
During the 16th Para Athletics National Championship in Panchkula, he created waves by setting a national record with a stunning throw of 68.42 meters, solidifying his status as a top-tier javelin thrower.
Sundar Singh Gurjar’s excellence didn’t stop at the javelin throw; he showcased his versatility by securing three gold medals in three different events—Javelin Throw, Shot Put, and Discus Throw—in the 9th FAZZA IPC Athletics Grand Prix, a testament to his exceptional skills.
