Esports event is all set to be included in the upcoming Asian Games scheduled in Hangzhou, China with 8 games events on the line which include- PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valour, Dota 2, League of Legends, Dream three Kingdoms 2, Hearthstone and Street Fighter V.
Overall 8 medal events would mean in total 24 medals will be up for grabs in the upcoming Continental showpiece event in China.
There will be two more demonstration games -Robot Masters & VR Sports will be played as a demonstration event in the upcoming Commonwealth Games 2022.
“I believe we have ticked all the right boxes ensuring a high level of competition which promises great viewing for enthusiasts and casuals alike,” said OCA Director General, Husain Al-Musallam.
“We at the OCA are looking forward to working closely with our friends at the Asian Electronic Sports Federation and the Hangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee to ensure a successful execution of the esports event at the 2022 Asian Games.” Asian Esports Federation official said.
