Former Indian Cricketer and legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar sought tips from Tennis great Roger Federer on Friday.

Tendulkar shared an 11-second slow-motion video from Instagram, in which he is seen playing a forehand smash “Hey @rogerfederer! Any tips for my forehand?” Tendulkar captioned the post.

Twenty-times Grand Slam singles champion, Roger Federer recently announced that he will miss the 2020 season after undergoing a second knee operation in a matter of months.

Tendulkar, on the other hand, has the most number of runs in Test cricket. The right-handed batsman scored 51 Test centuries- most by any batsman in the longest format of the game. Things are no different in ODI cricket, as Tendulkar has accumulated 18,426 runs in ODI which includes 49 centuries.

He is also the highest run-scorer in the ODI format. Tendulkar is also known for his humility off the field.

Taking about Sachin’s equation with Federer, both have been friends even before Roger won his first Major title. He also remembers Federer winning his first ATP title in Milan 2001.

During his early days on Tennis Tour, Tendulkar prophesied Federer will dominate this sport one day.

I have been following Roger since 2001-2002,” Tendulkar reflected in 2019 while he was in conversation with Vijay Tagore.

I remember the days when Yuvi (Yuvraj Singh) would back Andy Roddick and I would support Roger. Those were early days Yuvi would talk about the power game of Roddick and I would speak of Roger’s finesse, class, and incredible shots, I was convinced when I saw his abilities to create those angles.”

The two legends met each other during Wimbledon 2011 at All England Club, and it was a memorable experience for both Federer and Tendulkar.
