At the second One-Day International against England in Bloemfontein, South Africa put up a masterful performance, which the hosts won by five wickets. With the third and final One-Day International slated for Wednesday, South Africa now has a commanding 2-0 series lead.

England scored a solid 342/7 runs in their opening innings of play, with captain Jos Buttler emerging as the team’s top run-scorer. The captain hit an undefeated 94 off 82 balls, and Moeen Ali and Harry Brook each added 80 off 75 balls.

Then, Temba Bavuma, the captain of South Africa, took the initiative and slammed a tonne to assist his team defeat the foreigners with ease. Sam Curran, a talented all-around player, cleaned up Bavuma after he collected 109 points off of 102 balls.

However, Curran’s enthusiastic jubilation after Bavuma sliced the ball back onto his stumps attracted most people’s attention. He approached the South Africa captain head-on and gave him a furious look before erupting into a raucous celebration.

There were also some few tense exchanges during the match between Rassie van der Dussen and Jos Buttler. In the 19th over of South Africa’s run chase, the two got into a verbal altercation.

The argument between the two began when Van van Dussen failed to pick a googly that Adil Rashid threw up in the air after it hit his pad and took the inside edge. Buttler instantly reacted as he attempted to collect the catch while standing close to the stumps, but he was stopped by Van der Dussen who was in his way.
