S8UL Esports, co-founded by Naman Mathur (Mortal), Animesh Agarwal (8Bit Thug), and Lokesh Jain (Goldy), has been nominated as India’s sole representative at the prestigious Global Esports Awards 2023. They received a nomination in the ‘Esports Content Creator of the Year’ category, while Mortal secured a spot in the highly coveted ‘Esports Personality of the Year’ category.

The Global Esports Awards aims to recognize and celebrate outstanding performance and innovation within the esports industry, honoring exceptional players, teams, media, hardware providers, games, events, and personalities worldwide. Last year, S8UL Esports triumphed in the ‘Content Group of the Year’ category, surpassing other well-known global sensations like 100 Thieves, FaZe Clan, and OTK.

S8UL Esports is home to renowned gamers and creators, including Mortal, Scout, Payal, Mamba, Regaltos, Krutika, Sidd, and Kaashvi. The organization has become a symbol of Indian esports excellence globally. Recently, they received the ‘Global Impact on Mobile Gaming’ award at the MOBIES Awards, recognizing their outstanding contribution to the Indian mobile gaming sector.

Naman Mathur (Mortal) holds a remarkable achievement as the only Indian athlete to receive four successive nominations at the prestigious Esports Awards. His influential role in the gaming industry, along with top-notch gaming skills and engaging content, earned him nominations for ‘Streamer of the Year’ in 2020 and 2021, and ‘Esports Personality of the Year’ in 2022 and this year too.

Naman Mathur shared his excitement about the nomination, saying, “I’ve always followed my gaming passion and proudly represented India. This nomination shows Indians can compete and shine in esports. I hope to make our nation proud by winning the trophy.”
