India’s top-order batsman Rohit Sharma is known for his classy batting and effortless ability to hit the ball over the fences and whenever given the captaincy of India, in the absence of regular skipper Virat Kohli, has lead Indian team very well.

Recently, during a Facebook live chat, Rohit Sharma names Bangladesh the only country where India don’t get any support while playing cricket.

Bangladesh is the only place in the world where the Indian side does not get any kind of support“. Rohit explained this during a Facebook live chat with Bangladesh opening batsman Tamim Iqbal and he complimented Bangladesh cricket team for becoming a cricketing giant.

There is no point denying that India and Bangladesh have developed intense rivalry from the past few years and speak a lot about the passion that they have and especially the fans who generate huge animosity once every match happens between these two Asian teams. Rohit went on to describe the passion that both countries have for the game.

India vs Bangladesh in 2009

India and Bangladesh have passionate cricket fans and if we make mistakes we are criticized for that. I know that it is similar in Bangladesh and when we play in Bangladesh we know that passionate crowd will be there and we will not get much support from there and India is not used to that as we get support in several other countries when we play outside India” he added.

Rohit went on to praise the Bangladesh cricket team and talked about how they have evolved throughout the years.

Currently Bangladesh is a different team altogether and when you see them on the field you can sense that they mean business and everyone witnessed that in 2019 world cup”.

Rohit has a phenomenal record against Bangladesh. He has piled up centuries against them in big tournaments like ICC 50 over world cup 2015, Champions Trophy 2017, and ICC 50 over world cup 2019. He single-handedly took India home in all these games.
