IPL

The sponsors for the 2020 IPL have been finalised. All the teams have reached the UAE and completed their 6-day mandatory quarantine period as well. However, the schedule for the third edition of the cash-rich league is yet to be announced. A lot of speculations have been made regarding the delay in the announcement of IPL 2020 schedule.

It has been learnt that the sudden rise in the cases of coronavirus in Abu Dabhi has been the main reason behind the delay. However, members of BCCI and ECB chief have now sorted out all the issues surrounding IPL 2020 and are all set to release the schedule on Saturday, 29th August 2020.

According to the sources, the schedule for the IPL 2020 will be released on 29th August 2020.

Just small pieces of the jig-saw puzzles are remaining and we should resolve them and release the schedules soon. ECB chief’s support in the matter was of great help. We will incorporate changes in the schedule as per our discussions with the local authorities,” a BCCI source currently in Dubai told CricketNext.
