Pakistan Super League season 8 promises to display cut throat competition and the tournament will bring in more and more heat with each passing fixture. 12 out of the 34 matches including the finals have been played and Multan Sultans are currently leading the points table with 8 points.
Islamabad United are the most successful outfit in PSL history with 2 League titles to their name. This tournament began in 2015 and since then it has generated more & more traction. Meanwhile, during match number 12 of season 8, Islamabad United took on Peshawar Zalmi at the National stadium in Karachi.
The match went in favor of the 2-time PSL champions but one of the incidents during the match took the spotlight. It popped off between Peshawar batter Babar Azam and Islamabad bowler Hasan Ali. Azam was looking in a great touch and during the match, the Pakistani Captain tried to scare fellow countryman by raising his bat towards him as if he will hit Hasan Ali.

It was nothing more than a Banter between the 2 Pakistan players but the incident stole the hearts of fans. Hasan Ali was one of the main reasons behind Islamabad’s comeback in the first innings. Peshawar had an outstanding start through Mohammad Haris and Babar Azam’s enthralling start but Hasan Ali took his side back in the game.
From 87/3, Peshawar crashed out for just 156 with Hasan Ali picking 3 scalps but conceded 35 runs in 4 overs. In response, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Rassie Van Der Dussen and Asif Ali helped Islamabad United beat Peshawar Zalmi by 6-wickets. Hasan Ali was acknowledged as the Man of the match.
