Puneri Paltan Vs. U Mumba
Match number 22 of the Pro Kabaddi League season 9 featured the first Maharashtra derby between Puneri Paltan and U Mumba. The Paltan were able to plot a great victory tonight as they ended their winless run and pick up their first victory of the season by a thin margin of 2 points.

U Mumba started the game well but later on they had to deal with stalagmite Raider Aslam Inamdar, who was looking determined to win this game, picked up 9 raid points to help his side get over the line.
Mohit Goyat joined him in Pune’s resurrection after picking important 5 raid points. Captain Fazel Atrachali and All-rounder Mohammad Nabibaksh acted as the main men of the defense as both grabbed 4 raid points. The Paltan had a lower raid strike rate (35.9%) as compared to U Mumba’s (42.11%).
But today it was the Puneri defense who should be given the credit for the win as the defenders maintained a tackle success rate of (52.17%) and they picked up a close win by 30-28.

UP Yoddhas Vs. Bengaluru Bulls
It was a good day at the office for the Yoddhas from UP as they were able to seal their victory of the season. They handed the Bengaluru outfit their second defeat in a row by a margin of 7 points.

UP’s marquee raiders Pardeep Narwal (PKL’s most successful raider) and Surender Gill navigated the team through to an emphatic win. Both of them brought 14 Raid points and won half of the team’s score at full time.
The defenders could only win 8 tackle points amongst them but their Raid strike of 70% and tackle success rate of 30.77% in front of Bulls’ 16.13% tackle success rate sums up the whole story.
