The questions were asked to Chief Selector on the omission of Prithvi Shaw to which he responded that there is nothing wrong with Prithvi as we are currently looking at those players who are in the system and doing well. We are in touch with him he will get chances very soon.
“There is nothing wrong with Prithvi. We have to look at players who are already in system and doing well. We are in constant touch with him. He will get his chance very soon: Chetan Sharma on Prithvi Shaw’s non-selection.”
Sarafaraz Khan is often ignored despite his consistency at domestic circuit where in the recent season he scored 982 runs and his performances at bigger events like- Duleep Trophy final and Irani Trophy final where he amassed big score of 127 runs and 138 runs respectively.
His omission from the longest format of the game is debatable because he should have been given opportunities in Test cricket because to his temperament for playing long innings. Let’s see if these two guys return to the Indian team anytime soon or not.
