The Premier League organizers on Monday announced three new coronavirus cases based on the latest testing that was carried out on Sunday.

As per the latest media reports, testing was conducted on 1,605 players as well as support staff on September 6th to ensure that matches can be played in a safe and secure environment.

The Premier League can today confirm that between Monday 31st August and September 6th. 1,605 players and club staff were tested positive for COVID-19.Of these tests three new people have been detected with COVID-19“.

 “All the players or club staff who have tested positive will self isolate for a period of 10 days. The Premier League is providing this aggregate information for the purposes of the competition integrity and transparency. No specific details as to clubs or individuals will be provided by the League and results will be made public after each round of testing “.

Out of three players who have been tested positive for COVID-19, two players are from Manchester CityRiyad Mahrez and Aymeric La Porte. The identity of the third player is still unknown.

One of the officials from Manchester City talked about the health status of both players who are in self-isolation at the moment and they are following the guidelines set by Premier League organizers and UK government on quarantine. They both are doing well and also they are recovering quickly to a great extent.

The upcoming 2020-21 Premier League session is all set to start from 12th September 2020 will witness several top-class football stars taking part in the mega event.
