Prabhsimran Singh Introduction
There are many different ways of handling failure. Some might crumble, some might take a sabbatical to focus on other things, and then there are some like the young Prabhsimran Singh from Punjab. For him, his world almost collapsed when he found out that the national selectors have overlooked him while selecting the Indian U19 side. The dream of wearing the blue fell flat on its face.
But this sparked a new fight. In an Under-23 inter-district game against Amritsar, he scored 298 runs in just 301 deliveries. This time, however, the selectors did turn their focus to Singh. He was called up for the NCA Camp. Very soon, Singh found himself leading the Indian side in the U19 Asia Cup. He is a part of the Kings XI Punjab roster in the Indian Premier League.

Prabhsimran Singh Early Life
- Prabhsimran Singh was born on August 10, 2000, in Patiala, Punjab.
- His elder brother Anmolpreet Singh is also a cricketer.
- Prabhsimran considers his brother his inspiration.
- Kings XI Punjab spent INR 4.8 crores to get his signature for the 2019 edition of IPL.
- He played in the 2018 ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.
- In that tournament, he scored a brilliant 33-ball half-century against Sri Lanka in Mirpur, Dhaka.
- Few IPL teams had their scouts and analysts monitoring the tournament. Out of them, Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals called him for trails. Unfortunately for him, he could not attend the trails as he was playing in the Under-19 Vinoo Mankad Trophy for Punjab.
- He then attended the trails of Kings XI Punjab. Mike Hesson, the-then coach of the team, gave the young batters two situations. In one case, they will have to chase down 100 in 10 overs. In another case, they will have to chase down 75 in 10 overs.
- Singh aced both the tests. In the first situation, he scored a half-century in just 19 balls. In the second case, he scored another half-century in 29 balls. This caught the attention of Hesson, who praised him for his efforts. However, Singh thought the comments were customary and did not really hope for a contract with the Kings.
- Prabhsimran’s father used to be the ‘human bowling machine’, as both of his sons batted for long hours in the practice sessions.
- Singh is a big fan of Akshay Kumar and Kangana Ranaut.
- Singh’s cricketing idol is another big hitter of the ball, Virender Sehwag.
- Besides cricket, Singh is fond of bikes and loves the Royal Enfield.

Prabhsimran Singh Domestic Career
- Singh made his List A debut against Afghanistan Emerging Team at Colombo, on December 7, 2018. He scored 8 runs in that match.
- His T20 debut came a couple of months later at the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. This was against Madhya Pradesh in Indore, on February 21, 2019. He had a debut to forget, as he failed to open the scoring. He was dismissed for a duck by Ishwar Pandey.

- Under his captaincy, India U19 side lifted the Under 19 Asia Cup.
