Pakistan's Haris Rauf says he intended to remove Rohit Sharma before actually doing so during ICC T20 World cup 2022!

Pakistan quickie Haris Rauf during a recent interview with Crickwick podcast spoke about everything that took place on his journey to become a professional cricketer. He mentioned all the hard work and sacrifices he had to make and also said that he was once a Tape ball cricketer.

On the podcast with host Roha Nadeem, Haris Rauf was asked about the most precious wickets he has ever taken in his career and Rauf would put out 2 names which are very famous in India and around the world. Hitman Rohit Sharma and India’s Mr. 360 Surya Kumar Yadav are 2 of his most priced wickets.

When India and Pakistan clashed the last time during the ICC T20 Cricket world cup 2022 at Australia, Haris Rauf had actually picked important wickets of Captain Rohit and the explosive Surya and on the podcast, Rauf highlighted that he intended to take his wicket before actually doing so.

“When I saw Rohit Sharma during our national anthem, I said to myself I have to get his wicket.” During India’s (160) run chase at MCG, Rauf dismissed both Rohit and Surya.

India stunned Pakistan in their T20 World Cup encounter by defeating them by four wickets. India was in serious trouble at 31/4 after the PowerPlay while attempting to chase a goal of 160. Virat Kohli, who struck an unbeaten 82 off 53 balls to help his side cross the finish line in a nail-biting game at the MCG, cameth the hour, and cameth the man.

“I never really thought of it, I had a friend who brought me along with him to trials. He was the one who wanted to give trials and at that time I didn’t have spikes. I borrowed spikes from someone and then I bowled in the trials. There I realised how fast I bowl.” – when asked how did his journey start as a cricketer.
