Babar Azam is both the biggest hero and the worst villain in Pakistani cricket since the star batter is constantly under public scrutiny and has his every move meticulously documented and analysed by journalists and other specialists.
Recently, when Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first, they left vice captain Shan Masood out of the starting lineup, which irritated some fans and journalists because vice captains are typically included in the starting lineup.
There were conflicting opinions in India that Kl Rahul should be dropped by Rohit Sharma and Company because he lacks consistency with the willow.
In his final ODI for the Men in Green in 2019, Shaan Masood faced the United Arab Emirates (UAE), scoring just 111 runs, including a half-century, and had a strike rate of 76.55.
Shaan Masood was chosen to replace Shadab Khan as Azam’s backup in ODI cricket when he was ruled out of the series. According to sources in various media sites, PCB Chairman Najam Sethi made this decision.
Azam, Pakistan skipper was asked about his deputy inclusion in playing X1 , to which he responded that he is doubtful of his starting lineup and must first see the field.
Some people claimed on Twitter that PCB is a joke for making a player vice-captain but leaving him out of the starting X1.

Pakistan won the first ODI by an enormous margin of six wickets, moving up to second place in the ICC ODI Super League 2023. Prior to the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2023, which is slated to take place in India later this year, they must assemble a powerful team.
