Indian Super League (ISL) team Odisha FC on Thursday appointed the Brazilian footballer Rogerio Ramos as the full-time goal-keeping coach of the side.
Odisha FC has signed Ramos for a period of two years, owing to his experience of playing in the National team as a goal-keeper during his career. Besides, he also served as the goalkeeping coach of Sudan’s national football team after his retirement.

The 46-year-old has tons of experience in mentoring football teams across the globe. He has also served as the goal-keeping coach of EC Santo Andre SP and EC Novo Hamburgo RS in Brazil, Mahindra United and Vasco Sports Club.
Ramos has mostly served in the South Asian countries including India and Korea. He also coached the European football club NEA Salamina in Cyprus.
After Ramos’ appointment, Odisha FC head coach Stuart Baxter expressed his delight and also welcomed the former professional goalkeeper by saying:
“I am sure that he will be a very good addition to our coaching team.”
“He has the experience of working in India and he has also spoken to assistant coach Gerry Peyton. We all are on the same page with respect to the goalkeepers in OFC and that will be a huge advantage for all of us.”
Ramos will now be joining the side’s camp ahead of the seventh edition of the Hero ISL this year.
