Noah Nirmal Tom Early Life
Noah Nirmal was born to Tomichant T.J and his wife. Noah hails from a modest Kozhikode, Kerala, household. Noah’s mother won a gold medal at the national level while competing in handball in the past.
When Noah was younger, he had a strong enthusiasm for athletics. He is an avid supporter of the English Premier League powerhouse Chelsea Football Club. Prior to switching to athletics in the sixth standard, he played football. John Sebastian, the athletics coach at Noah’s school, noticed his athletic prowess and persuaded him to pursue a career in sports.
He signed up for the Sports Authority of India dormitory in Kozhikode in 2010 and met George.P. Joseph, an SAI coach, there. Noah viewed the 400m training with the new coach as a turning point in his athletic career. Four years later, Noah enlisted in the Indian Air Force, where chief coach Rajesh MK helped his career take off.

Noah Nirmal Tom Professional Life
Noah was invited to the national camp in October 2018 after finishing a 400-meter race in 45:96 seconds. He competed in the same year’s National Athletics Championships, which were held in Bhubaneshwar, and won the gold medal in the 4 x 400 m relay team category.
At the Patiala Indian Grand Prix in 2019, Noah competed for the first time internationally and placed fifth in the final. Noah competed in the Federation Cup that year in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and although winning the heats, placed seventh overall. At the International Sprint and Relay Cup in Turkey in July, Noah won his first international gold medal for India in the 4 x 400 m relay team division.
With a time of 3:16.14 seconds, Noah Nirmal’s 4 x 400 m mixed relay team—which also included VK Vismaya, Muhammad Anas Yahiya, and Jisna Mathew—placed third in the heats and qualified for the final at the 2019 World Athletics Championships. They placed seventh in the final with a timing of 3:15.77s. At the Doha World Athletics Championships, Noah was a member of the 4*400m relay team that placed 7th overall with a time of 3:03.09s, disqualifying them from the final.
