“No longer part of Indian team setup, Dropped from Central Contract also not part of IPL Playing X1” This India legend player might take retirement soon

India’s speedster Ishant Sharma is struggling to find his place in the national squad and ultimately he has been droppedĀ  from BCCI central contract list.

He was initially dropped from the white ball formats and ultimately lost his spot in the Test side due to inconsistency and injury.

He is currently part of Delhi Capitals squad in the ongoing edition of IPL 2023, but still he is not given chance to play the game and if reports are to be believed, he is not in contention in BCCI selection committee radar soon which means that he might say goodbye to the game.

Ishant Sharma was regular member of India’s setup when Kohli was the captain as these two have played cricket together for quite long time.

With Rohit Sharma helming the leadership role and new coach Rahul Dravid coaching Men in Blue across all formats he is no longer considered in contention in India’s test setup also his ability for not taking constant wickets is another reason which questioned his position in India’s Test squad.

When we carefully analyze Delhi Capitals performance in the ongoing edition of IPL it has been disappointing, batting is heavily relied on David Warner and Axar Patel and rest of the batter had flopped season.

When we talk about the bowling performance, barring Nortje they don’t have powerful attacking bowler in their arsenal also the way they have fielded so far in the marquee event has been pretty disappointing as they have dropped several catches which they should have taken at this level.

Delhi Capitals need to regroup quickly as they have lost 4 in a row and more losses from here would mean end of the road for Capitals.

They have also failed to capitalize the crucial moments of the game and they need to strongly work in that regard otherwise it will be too late for them.
