Nathan Ellis Early life
Nathan Ellis is an Australian cricketer born on 22 September 1994. He was born in Green acre, Australia. He is a right handed batsman and right arm medium fast bowler, Ellis is a full time bowler. Ellis made his debut for Australia in August 2021. He is the first cricketer to take a hat-trick on his debut in a Twenty20 International (T20I) match.
Nathan Ellis Domestic Career
Ellis was picked by the Hobart Hurricanes’ squad for the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy in September 2018. On October 5, 2018, he made his Twenty20 debut for the Hobart Hurricanes in the 2018 Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy. On September 23, 2019, he made his List A debut for Tasmania in the 2019–20 Marsh One-Day Cup. He made his first-class debut for Tasmania in the 2019–20 Sheffield Shield season on February 24, 2020.
Nathan Ellis International Career
Ellis was selected as a traveling reserve for Australia’s Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Bangladesh in June 2021. Ellis was promoted to Australia’s main squad prior to the tour, substituting for Riley Meredith. Ellis made his T20I debut for Australia against Bangladesh on August 6, 2021. Ellis scored a hat-trick in the contest, making him the first batsman to score a hat-trick in a T20I encounter.
After Brett Lee and Ashton Agar, he became the third Australian cricketer to score a hat-trick in a T20 International. Ellis was picked as one of three injury cover players in Australia’s team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in 2021 later that month.
