Nasim-ul-Ghani was the youngest cricketer to make a debut in test cricket that time. He is a former Pakistani cricketer represented 29 tests and a lone ODI for the country. He is in the record books as he becomes the first nightwatchmen to score a century and he did it in style against England at Lords in 1962. Interestingly that was his lone century in test cricket for him. The slow left-arm bowler and a handy tail-ender with bat Nasim-ul-Ghani is the youngest bowler to take five-wicket hauls in test cricket.

He is primarily a slow left-arm spinner but he can also bowl slow medium pace when required. He is also one of the very few players who opened the batting for the team and as well as batted no.11. He is one of the few Pakistani cricketers who was underutilized due to selection dilemmas. He was in and out of the team also due to his own form.

His flighted deliveries are the talk of the town and he has trouble lots of batsmen with that weapon. Born on May 14, 1941, in Delhi, Nasim-ul-Ghani made his international test debut against West Indies in 1958. He subsequently made his ODI debut in 1973 against New Zealand which happened to be his lone match in one day format. He later played for minor county team Staffordshire and officially got retired from cricket in 1978.

After retirement, he was done coaching for few Pakistani domestic teams and was made the national selector in 1990s. He was served as ICC match referee for two test matches and 9 one day matches over the years. One of the versatile spinners during his playing days Nasim-ul-Ghani lost form after the blistering start of his career in the international arena. He also served as an assistant manager of the team during 1996 world cup.
