Gautam Gambhir has led two franchises in his career in the Indian Premier League. Gambhir captained Kolkata Knight Riders as well as Delhi. The left-hand top-order batsman served as the key opener for the team. Kolkata Knight Riders won the two IPL trophies under his stewardship. Gambhir is called for his aggressive captaincy style. Gambhir has captained in 129 matches for Kolkata Knight Riders and Delhi Capitals out of which he has been successful in 71 matches. He is one of the most successful captains in IPL with two titles to his name.
