1. Marizanne Kapp (Delhi Capitals)

Marizanne Kapp of DC who thrives under pressure is at the top of the list with 121 dot balls with highest economy rate of 5.72 in 36 overs. In the clash against Gujarat Giants in WPL 2023, she took a 5-wicket haul and scored a half-century, leading DC to a dominant victory. Marizanne Kapp was a standout player in the WPL’s first season, making significant contributions to the Delhi Capitals’s success.

2. Issy Wong (MUMBAI INDIANS)

She is a young player making her debut in a high-pressure league. She has the record of 106 dot balls with 6.46 economy rate. Wong contributed significantly with her pace, picking up 15 wickets in the tournament.  She has become first and the only bowler to claim a hat-trick in the WPL during the Eliminator match against UP Warriorz.

3. Hayley Matthews (Mumbai Indians)

Player of the tournament Hayley Matthews is also at the list of the most miserly bowlers with 98 dot balls in 34 overs. Topping the bowling charts with 16 wickets earned her the Purple Cap, signifying the leading wicket-taker in WPL 2023 with the best bowling average of 12.32. She smashed 271 runs in the tournament, finishing as the team’s leading run-scorer and the sixth-highest overall in the league.

4. Saika Ishaque (Mumbai Indians)

Emerging as one of the tournament’s top performers Saika Ishaque was first unleashed by Mumbai and the left-arm spinner continues to trouble batters. She is also at the list of the bowlers with most dot balls with the record of 97 dot balls. Ishaque, a relatively unknown player before the WPL, grabbed everyone’s attention with her consistent performances.

5. Sophie Ecclestone (UP WARRIROZ)

Sophie Ecclestone has woven her magic throughout the Women’s Premier League (WPL) season for the UP Warriorz. She was leading at top 5 of dot ball bowler list in the entire WPL with the record of 235 dot balls choking batters and creating opportunities for wickets. Her exceptional economy rate of 5.57 ranked her second-best in the league, showcasing her consistency in restricting runs.
