Amroha district magistrate Rajesh Tyagi announced on Friday that plans are underway to construct a mini-stadium and an open gym in Sahaspur Alinagar to honour the cricketing prowess of the star pacer. “I am keen to provide my #MPLAD funds to aid the construction of a sports facility in the village (Sahapur Alinagar) of @MdShami11. #ICCWorldCup2023 #WorldcupFinal,” declared Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) party leader Jayant Singh in a tweet, highlighting the collective effort to support the development of sports infrastructure in Shami’s village.
