Manchester United Star Paul Pogba undergoes a succesful ankle injury

Manchester United star Paul Pogba underwent ankle surgery on Tuesday morning. He posted an update on social media quoting ‘everything went well’.

Paul Pogba initially posted a video on Instagram and said,

“I don’t even know if I’m OK or if I’m high or if I’m sober, just don’t ask me if it went well, I don’t know.”

The Frenchman later deleted that post and replaced it with a shorter video. “Everything went well,” Pogba said. “We have to keep positive energy.”

Paul Pogba, 26, is expected to be out for another four weeks after suffering his second ankle injury of this season.

The midfielder has been on the fringes of the Manchester United’s squad and hasn’t featured much this season.

The France international, who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, has made only eight appearances this season in a campaign blighted by injury.

The French world cup winner has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid.

Premier League legend Paul Ince reckons Pogba now ‘regrets’ his return to Manchester United and says Solskjaer should attempt to sell the player during the January transfer window. ‘

He said, ”When Pogba plays and he plays well there’s no way Ole would drop him,’ Ince told Paddy Power News. ‘Really, he should be the talisman of that team. ‘He should be enthused and excited by the fact that the team could be built around him and he could be the main man, but he doesn’t seem interested in that to me.

”He’s not bothered about being the captain of Manchester United. It doesn’t excite him to be the talisman of that team. ‘It feels as though we all bought into the romance of him returning to United. But it’s never really happened for him, has it? ‘It’s not gone the way either he or the club wanted it to go. I would say he regrets making the move, now. You can sense that he wishes he’d gone somewhere else, so just let him go”

‘The Return of the Prodigal Son stuff never quite worked out – but people would have more respect for him if he just came out and said that it hasn’t played out how he wanted it to.’
