Manchester United played against West Ham in their penultimate game but it ended on a draw 1-1 at the Old Trafford on Wednesday.

Solskjaer’s men were left shocked by the overwhelming defence of the West Ham that denied them the second goal and win the match. The match yielded no favourable for either side but it was more of a loss to the Reds as they couldn’t strengthen their place with three points they could have got from the win.

The match was in a deadlock until the 45 minutes as no side managed a single breakthrough. However, the Reds were shocked in the extra time of the first half when Michail Antonio broke the deadlock by sending Reds’ keeper De Gea in the wrong way and scored a superb penalty goal. The scores after the first half were 1-0 in favour of the West Ham.

Manchester United started off brilliantly but the players lacked intent as the match progressed and gradually became worse by the end of the first half. But after a much-needed break, the Reds did bounce back in the 51st minute when the 18-year-old Mason Greenwood opened the account for his side by as he combined with Martial for well-coordinated passes before finishing it on style with a left-footer.

However, that was not enough for the hosts as they had to take a lead in the match. The hosts took as many as 10 shots in the match but the relentless defence of West Ham never leaked any point.

Ultimately, the match ended on a draw and now Manchester United will have to defeat their rivals Leicester City for strengthening their position in the top 3 of the Premier League and also qualify for the Champions League next month.

United will now face Leicester City in their upcoming PL fixture at the King Power Stadium on Sunday for their last PL outing.
