It seems like every expert is joining the discussion related to the WTC final which is just 3 days away and the one last test between India and New Zealand will decide the eventual winners of the WTC trophy.

Some of the experts including the likes of Scott Styris have predicted that Kiwis will beat India by six wickets in the marquee event. Whereas Indian batting giant Tendulkar hasn’t predicted any winner but stated that since New Zealand already have played two matches against England ahead of the WTC final they will certainly have some slight advantage over India.

When the same question was asked to little Master  Sunil Gavaskar has bucked the trend as he believes that both teams have an equal chance of winning the marquee event as both teams are equipped with batting and bowling unit but added that the Indian team will be looking more eager to win the summit clash.

“It’s even-stevens in my view because both the teams are well balanced. There are some who think New Zealand has the advantage of being match-ready (after their 1-0 series win in England). But then India will be match-hungry and fresh and eager to get on the ground after a month of inaction. India have more impact players with both bat and ball and they should win this game,” Gavaskar told Times of India.

As most of the experts believe that New Zealand will have more edge over India as they will be playing WTC final after beating England in a two-match series by 1-0 but the master striker believes that few Kiwis player might be worn out or carry a niggle ahead of the WTC Final.

“This could be a double-edged sword. With only three days between the second Test (against England) and the WTC Final, some of their older players could have a niggle or two and that can hamper their performance,” he said.
