Ever since Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr announced the signing of Portuguese ace Cristiano Ronaldo, the Middle East outfit’s social media pages have risen like anything. Before Ronaldo joined, Al-Nassr only had 860k followers whereas 3 days after Ronaldo’s signing, Al-Nassr now have 6 Million followers.

The Saudi based outfit brought Ronaldo on 2-year contract worth 200 Million Euros after the 37-year-old became a free agent. Manchester United had terminated his contract following Ronaldo’s interview with Piers Morgan. The 5-time Ballon D’or winner had no suitors in Europe and his form saw a major dip so that could be a reason too.

Al-Nassr are based out of Saudi Arabia’s capital Riyadh which into existence in the year of 1955. The club plays in the Saudi Arabian league – Saudi Pro League which is the country’s Top-tier football league featuring a total of 18 clubs. Mrsool Park at Riyadh is Al-Nassr’s home ground and their home colors are Yellow and Blue while their away colors are Black and Blue. Their home ground has a capacity of fitting 25,000.

Al-Nassr are the second most successful club in Saudi Arabia, winning a total of 9 Saudi Pro League trophies. They are behind Al-Hilal, who have won 18 league titles. The last time they won the Saudi Pro League was back in 2018-19 season. This season, Al-Nassr are currently the standings with 26 points.

They have won the King’s Cup 6 times, Saudi Crown’s Prince Cup 3 times, Saudi Federation Cup 3 times and Saudi Super Cup Twice in their history. Al-Nassr finished 3rd last season with 61 points. This year with Cristiano Ronaldo in their side, Al-Nassr will look to win the Saudi Pro League for the 10th time in their history and hope to get their hands on the AFC Champions League for the first time.
