The 1st qualifier of the Lanka Premier League happened yesterday, and it turned out to be a brilliant game. The contribution of Lasith Crosspulle was appreciated by many. The match went till the last over of the 2nd innings, and both the teams showed a brilliant fight. However, at the end of the match, it was Dambulla Aura that went on to win the match by 6 wickets. They have reached the finals of the tournament, and it is certainly going to be interesting to see who turns out to be the winner. However, Galle Titans certainly fought hard to take it to the last over.

Contribution of Lasith Croospulle
Galle Titans were not able to get a good start because they lost their first wicket without any score on the board. Once the score was 0-1, Lasith Croospulle took the command of taking the score to a big total. He played a phenomenal innings of 80 runs off only 61 balls. This was certainly a brilliant contribution.

He was not able to hit any six, but still contributed with a brilliant strike rate because of the reason, he was consistently rotating the strike. By the end of the innings, he was able to take the team’s total to 146. However, due there was no support on the other end to form a partnership, and because of that Crosspulle had to score more than half of the team’s total.
Among the bowlers Shakib Al Hasan and Seekkuge Prasanna were economical, but they were not able to take wickets. That is where the issue was, and the batters of the Dambulla Sura took the benefit of staying at the crease. Lasith Croospulle was not able to make his team, but his contribution was certainly very important. From next season onwards Dambulla Aura needs to ensure that they perform as a unit.
