Yesterday’s match of Lanka Premier League, between Gallen Titans and Colombo Strikers was certainly a one-sided match. Galle Titans were phenomenal in both areas, that is batting and bowling. They were able to restrict the opponent at a low score, and at the same time reached the target without much of an effort. The main credit for this win certainly goes to the bowling unit, that is Tabraiz Shamsi. He certainly stood out and ensured that he consistently gets the wicket for the team.

Colombro Strikers batted first with the hope of getting a good start and setting up a big target for the opponents. However, their plan didn’t work in this manner. They lost their first wicket at the score of 4, and the second one at the score of 19.
Once Babar Azam was out, it looked like there was not much hope for the Colombo Strikers to come back to the game. However, Udara and Dhananjaya played a few good shots, to raise hope in the minds of fans, but that was not enough.

Like Colombo Strikers, Galle Titans were not able to have a good opening stand. They lost their first wicket at the team score of only 13 runs. Even the next wicket fell early, at the score of 19.
For the 3rd wicket, a brilliant partnership of 56 runs happened between Lasith Croospulle and Shakib Al Hasan. They achieved the target only in 8.3 overs.

Colombo Strikers have been eliminated from moving ahead in the tournament. On the other hand, Galle Titans are going to play the Qualifiers tomorrow.
