According to PSG Community, a news outlet based in Paris, it seems that Kylian Mbappe will be making his way to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer. Reports suggest that the Emir of Qatar and Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, have reached an agreement on a €250 million deal for the French striker, which includes €50 million in bonuses.

PSG has made the decision to capitalize on Mbappe’s departure after he informed them that he would not be extending his contract. In a letter sent to the Ligue 1 champions, he explicitly expressed his intention, resulting in a furious response from the French club. This development marks the conclusion of one of the longest-running transfer sagas in history, as the 24-year-old finally joins the team he has long been admired by.

Real Madrid has been actively pursuing Mbappe ever since his breakthrough at AS Monaco. Despite joining PSG in 2018 for a record fee of €180 million, Los Blancos have consistently attempted to lure him away from Parc des Princes.

It was anticipated that Mbappe would sign with Madrid last year when his previous contract was expiring. However, the France captain opted to sign a new two-year deal with the option for an additional year. This decision was influenced by French President Emmanuel Macron, who promised Mbappe more influence at the club.

Nevertheless, Mbappe’s relationship with PSG remained strained throughout the past season, despite his impressive performance of 41 goals and 10 assists in 43 games across various competitions. He clashed with teammate Neymar early on and expressed his discontent when the Parisians overused him in a promotional video for their 2023-24 season tickets.

There were reports of Kylian Mbappe joining the Los Blancos last season but the Frenchman had political pressure over him. France’s President Emmanuel Macron insisted Mbappe on staying at the club and as a result he signed an extension but it is growing highly possible that he will move top Real Madrid.
