Following this, several of Indian Cricketers and his teammates, including Shikhar Dhawan and Suryakumar Yadav, congratulated him on the success of his surgery. Sunil Shetty, Rahul’s father-in-law and a well-known Bollywood actor, also responded to his social media post by greeting him and using the heart emoji.

The LSG captain continued, “A big thank you to the doctors and medical staff for making sure I was comfortable and everything went without a hitch.”

Rahul said he was “determined” to play again after Ishan Kishan was selected in his place to represent India in the WTC Final, which will take place at The Oval from June 7 to 12.

“I’m now firmly back on the path to recovery. I’m motivated to regain my form and return to the pitch. Moving forward, he said.

All-around player Rahul, hopes to rejoin the team in time for the ODI World Cup and Asia Cup in India later this year.
