KKR vs SRH IPL 2024 Final: Key Matchups

The Kolkata Knight Riders will be taking on the Sunrisers Hyderabad tonight in the final match of the IPL 2024 season in Chennai. The match is expected to be nothing short of thrilling and a nail-biting encounter, as the two best teams of the tournament will be up against each other and battle it out for the glorious IPL trophy.

KKR will be eyeing their third title, whereas SRH would like to win their second title in the history of the league. Some fantastic big-match players will be playing tonight, and that brings us to the key matchups section, where we will talk about a few mini-battles between the players to watch out for in tonight’s encounter.

Mitchell Starc vs. SRH Openers

As we saw in the Qualifier 1 match, Starc found some swing early on in the innings and breathed fire with the white cherry in his hand. He bowled Travis Head on the second ball of the inning and put SRH on the backfoot right away. He is a big match player and can repeat the same performance today, giving KKR an early advantage in the game.

On the other hand, the opening duo of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head is the best of the tournament, and they would not repeat the same mistake again. If they play out Starc carefully in the first over, SRH will be on the course of a huge total.

Heinrich Klaasen vs. KKR Spinners

Klaasen is a mighty hitter of spin bowling and will also bat in the middle order. It will be on the KKR spinners, Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine, to stop Klaasen at all costs because if he gets going, he can finish the innings on a high and can score a huge amount of runs in no time. Rahul Tripathi will be another threat to KKR, but they will expect their spinners to handle him.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar vs. KKR Openers

If there is even a tiny bit of swing and Bhuvneshwar Kumar finds it, the day can get over very soon for KKR. There is no one better than him when it comes to swing bowling, and he can be dangerous for the KKR openers and the batters to come.

More or less, it is going to be a battle between the bowling of KKR and the batting of SRH. Let’s see who comes out on top and prevails in the biggest match of the season.
