Joylord Gumbie, a first-class cricket player from Zimbabwe, was born on December 25, of the year 1995. Gumbie participated in the 2014 ICC (International Cricket Council) Under-19 Cricket World Cup team for Zimbabwe.

Cricket Career

Joylord Gumbie was chosen to represent the Mountaineers in the 2020–21 Logan Cup in the month of December of the year 2014. Gumbie was listed as a backup player for Zimbabwe’s Test matches against Pakistan in the month of April of the year 2021. Gumbie was selected for the Test team of Zimbabwe in the month of July of the year 2021 for their one-off match against Bangladesh’s cricket team.

 

International Career

Joylord Gumbie was chosen for the One Day International (ODI) squad for the 2023 Cricket World Cup Qualifier in the month of June of the year 2023. On June 18, of the year 2023, against Nepal in the opening game of the tournament, Gumbie made his One Day International (ODI) debut for Zimbabwe.
