England star wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Butler recently talked about IPL 2021 in detail where the former heaps praise on the latter stating that the cash-rich league is not just the biggest competition in the world but it has also improved English cricket in the shortest version of the game to a great extent.

He was also asked about leaving IPL qualifiers in case his franchise Royals reach the final to take part in the first Test against Kiwis scheduled on June 2nd, 2021 to which he said that the tour of NewZealand has been added at the last moment it completely depends on ECB now on what call they will take however we were granted NOC by the board to play entire IPL 2021.

He also stressed IPL has significantly helped players in their monetary growth but at the same time we are also fortunate that our board does pay a huge amount and we take pride in playing for England but IPL is a very important competition for all English players in all aspects.

“We all know the benefits of the IPL. It’s hugely beneficial, not only to the individual but also for us as an England cricket side. Especially with this IPL being played in India where the World T20 will be played. The monetary rewards are obvious and the experience you gain. There are so many pluses,” Buttler was quoted as saying in The Guardian

“It’s a great benefit. Nobody’s played here before, so it’s a big advantage for us to learn about this particular stadium and the conditions. As a white-ball side, the conditions we generally struggle against are when the pitches get slower and the ball takes more spin and having a different gameplan for that.

“It’s great exposure for us to play against the best teams in the tournament in World Cup conditions,” he added

After the conclusion of the Test series, both teams will be locking horns against each other on 12th March 2021 for a five-match series where all the matches will be played at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
