Jason Holder enters in elite list of all-rounders by creating one more record

West Indies Test skipper Jason Holder enters in elite list of all-rounders who have scored 1000+ runs and clinched more than 100+ wickets as Captain in the longest format of the game.

“Jason Holder is in some elite company there” ESPNcricinfo Tweeted.

He became the fifth player to achieve this feat after scoring 1620 runs and taking 100 wickets as skipper of West Indies.

Other names in the list are Sir Garfield Sobers with 3528 runs and 117 wickets, followed by Pakistan maiden world cup captain Imran khan with 2408 runs and 187 wickets.

Kapil Dev and Daniel Vettori are the other two names who have made to the list with former scoring 1364 runs and 111 wickets and later joining this elite club with 1917 runs and 116 wickets.

In 2019 he was ranked as the number one all-rounder in the world according to latest ICC rankings. He was also named as Test Player
of the year by Cricket West Indies(CWI).

In June 2020 he was named as the captain of West Indies squad for the series against England. The ongoing Test series between the two sides have generated lot of animosity as both sides have won 1-1 match each out of 3 match test series.
