As the ISL 2022–23 season came to a conclusion, a number of players impressed us with their abilities throughout the entire campaign. A few of the young players have shown promise as future players, and some big names have displayed class while others have regained their form.

Goalkeeper:
Vishal Kaith (ATK Mohun Bagan): The golden glove winner had an exceptional season with 12 clean sheets out of the 24 matches he played for the Mariners. This season, he has made 67 saves and allowed only 17 goals to be scored. He stopped penalties in both the semifinal and final games to help his team win the league title.
Defenders:
Naorem Roshan Singh (Bengaluru FC): The right back was extremely powerful throughout the season, according to his statistics. In addition to his 86 tackles, he also made 26 clearances, 31 interceptions, and 31 blocks. He was clearly an essential player in Bengaluru’s success. Also, he has three assists this year and has created 23 chances due to his crucial passes.
Pritam Kotal (ATK Mohun Bagan): He has significantly contributed to the team’s defense, and being the captain, he was instrumental in the campaign that resulted in the victory. He has 48 interceptions this season and also scored the winning penalty for the team in the semi-final.
Akash Mishra (Hyderabad FC): The Indian team defender was the finest left back of the year, and Hyderabad became a strong defensive team as a result of his presence. This season, he made 81 tackles, 35 interceptions, 53 clearances, and 33 blocks. Mishra has created nine opportunities for the forwards to score.
Ruivah Hormipam (Kerala Blasters FC): The 22-year-old Indian defender quickly gained popularity among fans due to his athleticism. He recently opened for the Indian team against Myanmar in a friendly match. He made 42 interceptions in the 20 matches he played.
Mid-Fielders:
Hugo Boumous (ATK Mohun Bagan): Boumous has a huge presence in the midfield for the Mariners. He has contributed four assists and five goals this season. The Frenchman is equipped with all of these skills, including quick runs, excellent ball shielding, passes that split defenses, and goal scoring.
- Hernandez (Bengaluru FC): Hernandez has been the best and most influential midfielder of the season. Because of his skillful passing, he is able to deliver the ball between the defense and the goal line accurately. This season, he made five assists and scored seven goals.
Greg Stewart (Mumbai City FC): Stewart had a tremendous season, scoring seven goals and handing out eight assists. He was able to form solid relationships with the forwards and display excellent teamwork because he was playing for the ISL’s strongest squad.
Forwards:
Lallianzuala Chhangte (Mumbai City FC): With ten goals and six assists, the Islanders forward had the best season of his career. Chhangte has consistently terrorized opponents with his flawless dribbling abilities in the box. His capacity for finding advantageous scoring positions and his passing ability help to support that.
Sivasakhti Narayan (Bengaluru City FC): The league’s Emerging Player of the Year recipient is a gift to Indian football. Because of his many skills at such a young age, he has captured everyone’s attention. Sivasakthi is a skilled ball-crosser in addition to his goal-scoring skills. His season totals are 6 goals and 3 assists.
Dmitri Petratos (ATK Mohun Bagan): Petratos inspired his squad to win the championship. He got the player of the match award because he was invincible in the finals. He has played in every game for his side this season and has tallied 12 goals and 7 assists.
