Indian Premier League over the years have grown strength to strength and often described as UEFA Champions League of cricket
where champion players compete against each other.

Recently England limited over format skipper Eoin Morgan was asked about the questions related to IPL by ex England cricketer
Michael Atherton on Sky Sports Cricket where former said that IPL is the biggest tournament in the world and our players in
the past has been benefited a lot from the cash-rich league.

Our players like Butler and Stokes who played IPL and won Most Valuable Player awards shared their inputs with other players in
our England dressing room.

IPL will certainly help us to prepare ourselves better for the upcoming T20 World Cup which is scheduled for October 2021.

“Yeah, we have benefitted from it (the IPL) massively and we are thankful for it and it has been a huge part in our development, particularly in the 50-over campaign towards the 2019 World Cup. So, with two T20 World Cups almost around the corner from each other, hopefully, we are going to continue to participate in the best and the biggest T20 tournament in the world. We gain huge experience and confidence from that,” said Morgan.

“I think, it (the IPL experience) is huge. I think even regardless of the players involved in the World Cup, the development process that they go through just by being there, rubbing shoulders with the best in the world, being exposed to the pressures of being an overseas player in the biggest tournament in the world, priceless in many ways,” concluded the England batting legend.

Morgan is certainly one of the best English batters who are currently playing International cricket in limited overs format where he scored 7598 runs in the ODI format and he averages close to 40.

In T20 format he has amassed 2278 runs at a strike rate of 138.99. In IPL so far he has scored 1272 runs in 66 matches till date.
