‘IPL gave us platform to express ourselves’-Ajinkya Rahane on Dale Steyn’s comments

Indian test vice captain Ajinkya Rahane talked in the press conference ahead of the fourth test which is scheduled to be played in 4th March 2021 where the host  either needs to win or draw final match against England in order to register a spot as other finalist who will compete against Kiwis at the inaugural edition of World Test Championship finals on 18th June 2021 at Lords. 

Where Rahane said that “IPL gave us platform to express ourlselves and we love IPL so do the overseas player” in response to the question asked to the former related to the statement passed by Dale Steyn who is currently playing in PSL 2021 for Quetta Gladiators.

The South African pacer replied on the question asked to him on Cricket Pakistan to which he said I have made myself unavailable for IPL 2021 as in IPL is all about money whereas in LPL and PSL  it is more about cricket.

“I am here to talk about the fourth Test match and not here to talk about PSL or Sri Lanka Premier League. IPL gave us that platform to express ourselves and also to a lot of Indians players. I am not sure what Dale Steyn has said, I am here to talk about this Test match,” Rahane was quoted as saying in a virtual press conference.

Rahane also updated on Umesh Yadav, who was added to the squad ahead of the third Test as a replacement of Shardul Thakur. Rahane mentioned that the speedster is raring to take the field for the final Test of the series.
