IPL 2023 : Sanju Samson Looks In Good Form Ahead of season 16! He is hitting the balls well during net sessions
World’s most lucrative short-form tournament is less than two weeks away. All the teams have started their preparations keeping the fewer days remaining at the start of the tournament in mind. Players were captured practicing in the nets. Sanju Samson, the most discussed player of the recent time, looked in good form as he smashed a massive six during his practice for the Rajasthan Royals.
The defending champion Gujarat Titans will meet four-time winners Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural match of the 2023 Indian Premier League on March 31 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With less than two weeks till the start of the cash-rich competition, players from all ten franchises have begun their preparations in the nets.
The 28-year-old batsman, who was not picked for India’s ODI team for the present series against five-time World Cup champions Australia, can be seen smashing massive sixes during the training camp in a video that has gone viral on social media sites. Sanju had a brilliant record in the IPL while playing for Rajasthan Royals. The star right-hand batter would want to retain his good form in this season of the Indian Premier League as well.
Sanju had last appeared for India against Sri Lanka on January 3, 2023, at the Wankhede Stadium. He got injured while fielding for the team and has been out since then. He went to the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru to finish his recovery and then went to the RR camp in Jodhpur.
Sanju Samson broke havoc with the bat in the last season of the world’s biggest franchise cricket league. He ended the season as his team’s second-leading run scorer and ninth overall. He featured in all 17 RR matches, scoring 458 runs at an average of 28.63 and a strike rate of 146.79. The Royals will kick off their IPL season against Aiden Markram’s Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday (April 2) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
